Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia, is a major United States city situated in a Yellow Zone, Y-6. It had a population of over five million people in 2047.

It was supposed to become part of B-2, Eastern North American Seaboard Blue Zone, which was supposed to be protected by sonic resonators set all around the Florida peninsula and the Keys around 2035. Hurricanes, traveling from warmer to cooler water, frequently brought Tiberium contamination to land, so the GDI used an Ion Cannon to heat up the coastal waters, hoping this would prevent hurricanes from bringing Tiberium contamination to the coast.

Unfortunately, a forgotten canal bypassed the resonators, and through it Tiberium infected many cities. The border of B-2 had to be moved back all the way to Charlotte, North Carolina. Atlanta ended up being a Yellow Zone city, leaving many residents bitter.
