Notes

The Battle Bunker was a simple but effective defensive structure to defend a Soviet commander's base. After Great World War Three, a cheap, effective defence was desired by the Soviets. The answer came with the battle bunker. This simple bunker could only be garrisoned by Conscripts (well, actually, by any friendly infantry capable of garrisoning buildings; if the Soviet commander had access to GIs or Initiates, they too could enter) and could hold five of these. These defenses were very effective, as they not only could fend off infantry with ease, but tanks and other vehicles as well, due to the immense volume of fire; individual bullets merely dent armor, but a large stream eventually breaks through. These simple defensive structures were first used during the Psychic Dominator Disaster.

They required only a Soviet Construction Yard's existence to be produced, and did not require power to function or consume it. As they could also be repaired manually (as opposed to using civilian buildings, which could only be repaired by Engineers, for defense) and could be garrisoned until their destruction, they were significantly more effective than normal civilian structures ("Urban Combat" or UC buildings.)

While construction through the use of Construction Yards was discontinued, Soviet Combat Engineers were given the basic tools needed to construct a Battle Bunker in a cost efficient manner.

The WWIII Battle Bunkers are still garrisonable by five infantry units, as before; however, they take only one "building tile" of space. They cannot, it seems, fire over walls any longer, though. And, while they retain their excellent characteristics for durability, there are weapons, such as the Desolator Airstrike (which is not often a threat, since, like the Battle Bunker, Desolator Airstrikes are a Soviet protocol.) However, Imperial Warriors with their Beam Swords out can clear a Bunker like any other building, and Peacekeepers who get too close (rare, because two Conscripts in a bunker can seemingly hold off Allied infantry for ages- provided the Peacekeepers don't use their Riot Shields, that is...) also clear them out; worse yet, after it has been cleared, the enemy can take it over and use it themselves.
