CH-46 Sea Knight
From Command and Conquer Wiki
The Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight was a medium-lift tandem rotor assault helicopter, used by the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod to provide all-weather, day-or-night assault transport of combat troops, supplies and equipment. Assault Support was its primary function, and the movement of supplies and equipment was secondary. GDI also used CH-47 Chinooks in the First Tiberium War.
The helicopter could carry a fully equipped squad of infantry, and deploy them anywhere on the battlefield with the use of retractable reppeling cables, mounted into the rear exit. For close range defence, it was equipped with two miniguns mounted on the sides to repel potential enemies from the landing site. However, it's light armour made it extremely vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire. While this could be more or less countered by it's speed while in flight, it was hazardous when the helicopter was deploying infantry. The helicopter could also carry a single vehicle underneath it with the aid of cables and deploy it to the battlefield. Mobile artillery units were found to be particularly potent anti-air weapons, and were regularly used against these helicopters.
The helicopters, along with the Chinooks were decommissoned following the war and replaced with the more versatile Orca Transports.
