The Washington Monument is an obelisk that sits in the center of Washington DC and is also at the center of the four monuments when crossed diagonally. The obelisk is dedicated to the first US president George Washington.

Washington Monument was the site of a major Soviet base during the Soviet occupation of the city, largely due to the large ore field that was present there. The monument was heavily damaged and guarded by Flak Tracks during operation: Hail to the Chief but was repaired by Allied engineers. But the Soviets fully took control of the city afterwards and the monument was structurally weakened. During Operation: Liberty the Allies repaired the monument for the second time before proceeding to push the Soviets out of the White House.
In the non-canon Soviet campaign, the obelisk was kept in good condition during General Vladmir's occupation of the city. The monument was guarded by mind-controlled American GIs but was still destroyed by the Soviet commander for more resources.
