Infantry refers to military personnel that travel by foot and their weapons. This includes mutants and cyborgs as well.
Traditionally, infantry were the backbone of the army, as well as extremely numerous. Infantry had a number of advantages and disadvantages compared with vehicles.
GDI infantry can be healed and squads replenished at the Armory. Nod and the Scrin cannot replenish their squads, although Scrin infantry do seem to heal in Tiberium and scrin repair drones seem to be able to heal scrin infantry (please verify), and Nod infantry can be healed by the Tiberium infusion]. Regardless of their affiliation, highly experienced infantry often learn how to patch themselves up when injured. Please note that the Brotherhood of Nod infantry can heal automaticly upgrading them to Tiberium infusion (bought in the Secret Shrine.)
