Chrono vortex

From Command and Conquer Wiki

For related topics see: chrono.

A chrono vortex was a destructive side effect of Chronosphere usage during the Second World War. Vortices were generated near the device in use and appeared as swirling space-time rifts. Objects coming in contact with a vortex were lost.

This section contains information from the Red Alert Universe and may not be applicable to the Tiberium or Generals Universes.

Refinements to the Chronosphere all but eliminated vortex creation by the first iteration of the Third World War.

The reinvented Chronosphere of the third iteration of the Third World War also did not produce vortices.

[edit] Game Effect

In Command & Conquer: Red Alert there is a 20% probability every use of the Chronosphere will create a vortex. A vortex moves at speed 10 and deals 200 damage per "shot". It searches for targets within a range of 10.

A vortex's lifetime is variable.
