Disruption Towers were used during the Third Tiberium War by the Brotherhood of Nod to conceal their bases from enemies, mainly GDI. They were much cheaper to produce than Stealth Generators used in the previous war. However, in order to reduce costs these devices were no longer able to cloak themselves. The only thing visible to an enemy commander of a base equipped with Disruption Towers would be the towers. This made them an easy target for airstrikes. Still they provided the element of surprise since an enemy could never estimate the full force hidden by the Disruption Towers. Another downside of the more cost-effective design was that the range of the tower's cloaking field was significantly smaller, much like the one of a Mobile Stealth Generator.
