Drone Platforms are deployed Drone Ships that appear to grant Scrin commanders ground control and the ability to deploy battlefield structures, in much the same way as human Construction Yards. The exact process by which structures are created is unknown, but is likely to involve nano-assemblers and advanced alien teleportation technology. Drone Platforms may become Drone Ships again at any time, should the need arise to fly over to another location.
