Drop pod node upgrade

The Drop Pod Node Upgrade was installed onto an Upgrade Center during the Second Tiberium War. It communicated with the space station Philadelphia and other Global Command Centers to call down Drop Pods. The pods fired machine guns onto a position to clear out enemy infantry and other threats before landing. Elite infantry would then exit the pods and could be readily commanded by the responsible commander.
Eventually the functionality was taken over by dedicated space command uplink structures.
