Europe is the smallest continent on Earth. Once the seat of Western civilisation, the area has been radically altered by Tiberium with a lot of casualties in all wars.

[edit] Great World War II
During the Second Great War, Europe was invaded by the USSR, and was the main battleground of the conflict. But the nations of Europe forged an alliance, and with supplies from the United States managed to overcome the Soviet aggressors and kill Stalin.
[edit] Tiberium Era
Europe became a major battleground several times during the Tiberium era, and the area was ultimately the final battleground between GDI and Nod in the First Tiberium War. Europe, particularly Western Europe, was largely allied with GDI during TWI, although there were a few Nod affiliated or neutral states. The Temple of Nod was located at Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This temple was the location of Kane's headquarters during the First Tiberium War.
During the Second Tiberium War, Europe was again affected by the conflict. In that destructive war, Hammerfest, a near-impenetrable base in Norway, was a major battleground. Kane also launched a Tiberium missile at Central Europe, infesting the continent with even more Tiberium.
After this conflict, as the world was divided based upon levels of Tiberium infestation, the United Kingdom was considered a Blue Zone, an area relatively untouched by Tiberium outbreak, together with the Low Countries, Switzerland, northern France and parts of Scandinavia. Most regions of the European mainland, however, were designated as Yellow Zones, with the Southern sections, such as Italy (where the crystal first crashed in a meteor back in 1995) being part of the largest Red Zone on Earth. However, New Eden was a portion of Germany returned to the state of a pristine Blue Zone by GDI sonic technology. Europe was once again a major battlefield during the Third Tiberium War, as Sarajevo was once again the seat of Nod power. After Kane lured GDI into using the Ion cannon at Temple Prime, a Liquid Tiberium Bomb, hidden beneath the temple, detonated. The resulting explosion created massive fall out and turned the Balkans and large portions of Europe into one great Red Zone. This Liquid Tiberium explosion attracted the attention of the Scrin, who came to Earth to harvest the crystal. Europe suffered heavily under the Scrin attack, as London, Berne and Munich, along with other major cities, were ruthlessly annihilated. The Italian Red Zone was the heart of the Scrin invasion, attempting to build two Threshold towers, and having built the Relay Node there. The Scrin invasion as a whole was stopped dead in their tracks in Europe, when a revered GDI commander managed to destroy the Relay Node, denying the Scrin their much needed Tiberium radiation to be able to operate and survive.
