The Extractor is an organic alien structure which has the same function as a Tiberium Refinery. Whenever an alien Foreman deployed a base, the Extractor will be the first-priority structure to be built, along with a Reactor. When an Extractor is deployed, a Harvester will come out to automatically harvest nearby Tiberium field. When the Harvester is full or the Tiberium field is depleted, The Harvester will return to the Extractor. As the Tiberium is delivered to the Extractor, funds are made available to the Foreman. The Extractor seems to refine the Harvested resources into some kind of energy, this is proven by the fact that the alien doesn't need a Tiberium-storage structure. Scrin are being able to store unlimited amount of resources, when GDI and Nod have to build Tiberium silos. However, if the aforementioned factions are able to capture at least one Extractor, they will have the ability to store infinite Tiberium, interestingly.
Nod captured these structures with a Saboteur once and had to capture 3 of them during a mission in Italy. It is believed that Nod scientist want to analyze the Tiberium-Processing method of the aliens.
