The F-18 Super Hornet was a GDI air fighter. Powerful and fast, it mixed speed, firepower with compact size, allowing it to be fielded from aircraft carriers. The jet was not as advanced as YF-23 Black Widows and can be shot down by Nod SAM Sites. The Hornet was capable of performing both air-to-air and air-to-ground sorties.
Nod also probably possessed some numbers, as they had compromised the McDonnell Douglas corporation. If so, they all disappeared after the war, to what ends remain unknown.
After the First Tiberium War ended, it was phased out in favor of the developing series of Orca aircraft.
