The Dominican Republic is a nation on the eastern two-third of the island of Hispaniola, part of the Greater Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea.
Its capital, Santo Domingo, is the site of the first permanent settlement of Europeans in the Americas. Spanish is the official language, and the country is part of the greater Latin American world.

The Dominicans worked closely with other South American Allied nations and the Dominican Coast Guard developed the Hydrofoil for the Allied Navy.
