These armored toxin tractors have been modified to carry our bio-weapon into battle.
- Kanwar Khan(src)

The toxin tractor was the GLA's dedicated anti-infantry and anti-garrison vehicle during the GLA Conflict.

Game Unit[]

Toxin Tractors are excellent anti-infantry vehicles and in groups can even devastate vehicles. Their toxin streams can be directed at garrisoned civilian structures to easily defeat infantry units hidden within, but won't be able to deal with Bunkers and Palaces, nor are they effective against most other structures. Toxin Tractors could also be ordered to provide area denial by contaminating its surroundings.

At elite veterancy, toxin tractors spray Anthrax Beta regardless if the upgrade is available or not.

Salvage[]

In Zero Hour, the toxin tractor could be upgraded with scavenged parts. The first upgrade noticeably increased the size of the tractor's gun, while the second added two smaller barrels on either side, allowing it to spray an area with that much more toxic sludge. Each of these upgrades increased the unit's damage output.

Trivia[]

  • There was an unused GLA mission in Generals named "Black Sheep" that introduced the toxin tractor. This mission would have been the third GLA mission, and involved killing a large number of civilians with toxin tractors.
