Game unit[]

Fast and cheap, Cyberwheel squad is a great scouting unit for Nod War Factory decks. They are an effective answer to all early infantry. Their fast movement speed allows them to quickly position themselves on the battlefield for the most favorable engagement or contest the pads at the critical moments. The fire output is comparable to that of other early game anti-infantry units, but the health is lower.

The ability to see three tiles away and the fast movement speed allows the Cyberwheels to quickly establish the opponent's game strategy. This makes them suitable for reconnaissance in the early game.

Their fast speed, low price, and durability makes them suitable to bait burst units to attack them instead of preferred targets. This is especially effective against Orca bomber when it is behind it's own units.

Being a squad, Cyberwheels can hold against slow firing, large damage units like Obelisk of Light, since it can only kill one squad member per shot.

It is best paired with light anti-vehicle, anti-aircraft unit like Laser squad or Attack bikes to cover all three main unit types and have a quick response if the opponent is going for two harvester opening.

Main threats to Cyberwheels are Pitbulls and well positioned Missile squads. Although two Cyberwheel units will defeat a Missile squad, population cap makes it unsustainable in the long run.

Changelog[]

  • 2019-04-03: Attack Speed decreased to 1.5 (was 1.25)
  • 2019-06-05: Speed reduced to Faster (was Fastest)

Trivia[]

  • The design of the Cyberweel seems to be unique in the Tiberium universe.
  • Cybernetic creatures that respond with high-pitched electromechanical sounds.
  • If in trouble or asked to do unsuitable tasks, responds with low pitched sounds.
