The Power Plant was the standard power production facility used by the Allies and Soviets during the Second World War.
Background[]

During the Second World War, both the Soviets and Allies used identical Power Plants that followed a basic building architecture. Basic and Advanced Power Plants share the same aesthetic designs, taken from tested and standard civilian power plant schematics generally used at the time.
Game building[]
The Power Plant produces 100 power units. This amount is less than sufficient to run a large base, meaning that the more buildings a base has, the more Power Plants it requires to maintain full functionality. It is best to build Advanced Power Plants instead, as they produce a significantly larger power amount.
Power output is directly related to the Power Plant's condition, so they must be protected from enemy fire, as low power decreases production efficiency by 50%.
Legacy[]
Tiberium universe[]
In the years following the Second World War, as power-generation technologies advanced, these rudimentary coal-fired plants eventually came to be seen as old-fashioned and no longer sufficient for the power-needs of modern armies, leading to their replacement with more modern power plant designs by the time of the First Tiberium War.
Red Alert universe[]
By the time of the Third World War, the Allies had replaced these plants with a more efficient design, while the Soviets had replaced them with their own innovative Tesla Reactors.
