Forum:New namespace
From Command and Conquer Wiki
I think we need a new namespace that includes pages about mods, patches and general description of the games written out of universe. That would help players of CnC games find info about patches and mods and all that. I thought Command and Conquer: (Not to be confused with Command and Conquer Wiki:) would be a good name. It could also contain walkthroughs for missions and general tips if we wanted it to.--Phoenix-wiki 18:58, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Generals: namespace doesn't seem to have been set up properly either. Maybe it's time to fix that.--Phoenix-wiki 19:17, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
What's wrong with the Generals namespace exactly? Also, I don't think we should start cataloguing mods here, as the whole affair would become ludicrously bloated. Best to keep it easy to navigate and stick with official C&C stuff. (That said, it did sort of work with the Doom wiki...hmmm.) Makron1n 19:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Generals: namespace doesn't show up on Special:Allpages or Special:Editcount. That could mean it's not even a namespace, just simply the part of the mainspace with Generals: in front of it. We might want to get that fixed. I'd like other opinions about a new namespace too.--Phoenix-wiki 20:21, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
I agree that we should only focus on offical CNC games and their backstory. To include every mod wouldn't really serve a point about the Wiki, which is to catalog the CNC backstory. --Eldarone 22:30, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Yet the missions themselves are certainly part of the C&C backstory, and where they take place would certainly be useful information. Z98 19:39, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
