As the GLA became more dependent on fixed bases and had to stave off often desperate Chinese and US onslaughts, their leaders developed a series of convincing decoy structures to fool their enemies. Workers were then trained to build these fake structures, which could either be remotely detonated or, for a fee, upgraded to the real version of that particular structure at any time. The Fake Barracks was one of the false structures developed. The Fake Barracks was an especially valuable fake building, as a Barracks was often a priority target. Fake structures were particularly useful to Prince Kassad, who could hide his real buildings from view with camouflage netting and trick his foes into attacking the decoys.
