Guard tower

The guard tower was a defence structure employed by GDI in the First Tiberium War. It was essentially a sandbagged observation post on an elevated wooden platform, outfitted with a powerful machine gun, excellent against invading infantry. The tower was usually used to protect base entrances or choke points, as well as an observation outpost. But their range is short.
The towers were succeeded by component towers with Vulcan upgrades.
