The Hand of Nod is the structure that trains and provides housing for Nod's infantry corps. It is perhaps one of Nod's most recognizable and distinct buildings, integrating the shape of a human hand into the architecture. This reflects the Brotherhood's use of symbolism. In this case, the infantry trained are the "hands" of Nod, changing the world according to Kane's will.

The Hand concept emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union, from broken-off arms of monumental Soviet statues. When two ends of the hammer it holds fall off, the result is very similar to the Hand of Nod.
