First Tiberium War
When the Nod forces crossed into Berlin, President Helmut Bierman fled to the United Nations to help General Mark Sheppard with GDI's funding. Meanwhile with Nod's flag flying over Berlin and the Brotherhood having appointed their own President to take over Germany, Solomon sent some forces to defeat them in Hanover. The GDI commander repaired the GDI base after fending off the Nod forces and used their units to strike the Nod base. With the strike a success, the Nod Commander in Hanover was killed in his command centre and Solomon and Morelli's forces retook the city of Dresden from the Nod forces there.
