|For an overview of harvester, see harvester.|
The Brotherhood of Nod developed these vehicles after the Tiberium meteor impacted Earth and, revealing itself as a global superpower, instituted new harvesting methods, quickly reaching a staggering 49% stake of the global Tiberium mining market, almost double the size of GDI sponsor countries.
The vehicle is quite simple in its construction - a large storage container is mounted to the back of an all terrain truck platform with an isolated driver's cabin. Two large arms below the front rip crystals out of the pods they grow in and move them into an opening leading into the container. When full, the container was sealed and deliver to a Tiberium Refinery, where it is unloaded and the harvested Tiberium processed.
- Main article: Harvester (Renegade)
In Command and Conquer: Renegade, a transitionary model between the Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun harvesters is portrayed, a sturdy, utilitarian truck.
The harvester is a heavy duty workhorse. While completely defenseless, it can withstand a lot of damage and safely return to base even under fire. The AI is programmed to respond with extreme hostility if its harvesters are tampered with.
The original design of the vehicle was substantially different, with two "vacuum cleaners" and a chassis that was later reused for the flame tank
