Inner Circle
From Command and Conquer Wiki
The Inner Circle is composed of the Brotherhood's most powerful members, second to Kane in authority. Prior and to a certain point during the events of the Firestorm Crisis, the group was composed of five generals who have survived the aftermath of GDI's victory over Kane. The group was dominated by two generals - Anton Slavik (in the middle of the right photo) and a man known as Marzaq (at the right of Slavik), both of whom tried to establish total control over the group and enforce their concept of what the Brotherhood should become in the second interregnum.
The Inner Circle members were eventually assassinated by CABAL's cyborgs, with only Anton Slavik successfully escaping the assassination attempt. The two contributing factors for his survival were that Slavik didn't rely on cyborg bodyguards, and he had the mobile Command Center called the Montauk, which enabled him to quickly flee the treason of CABAL.
Following the Firestorm Crisis and the return of Kane to the Brotherhood, the Inner Circle was reestablished and regained its role as advisors to Kane and his most loyal followers. General Kilian Qatar was a member of the Inner Circle, but following her betrayal and execution her position was taken over by one of Nod's most successful commanders who managed to protect the Gateways of the Scrin.
Nod's current Inner Circle also includes Nod's Brother Eamonn, an up-and-rising Nod Commander, an Inner Circle advisor, and at one time Kilian Qatar before her revolt.
