Role in the War
Great World War II
During Great World War II, a command post of the USSR was located here. Despite the Soviet conquest of Europe in their campaign, a command post was given to Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine by Premier Stalin like the three command posts to Karachi in Pakistan, Khartoum in Sudan as the capital city and Da Nang in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the Allied HQ for European nations said that they can return to Europe by sending in a D-Day landing on France, liberating Germany and Greece until they join together with Great Britain, the head of the Allied Nations and they swept through much of Europe and destroyed major command posts including the Soviet one in Kiev. For the Soviets, the command post, like the others waited for the Soviet conquest of England at the end of the campaign.
