- Greetings Commander, you maybe looking for the Shepard Tank.
Brigadier General Mark Jamison Sheppard was the supreme commander of the Global Defence Initiative during the First Tiberium War in the late 1990s.
[edit] Biography
Under Sheppard GDI forces waged a global war against the Brotherhood of Nod and in part thanks to his effective and charismatic leadership emerged victorious. Prior to GDI's formation, Sheppard had served in the United States Army.
During the war, Sheppard was forced to serve GDI as a political leader instead of a purely military capacity. The most notable example was the UN inquiry into GDI's supposed atrocities in Poland. Nonetheless, Sheppard managed not only to blunt Kane's media offensive but also secured new funding from the United Nations and directed a vigorous counter-offensive against Nod, eventually driving the Brotherhood back to Kane's temple in Sarajevo.
He had a son, Logan Sheppard, who was also in GDI, but was instead a commando, and often had to put up with other troopers' hostility due to him being a general's son. By the time of the Second Tiberium War, he had been succeeded by General Solomon.
[edit] Behind the Scenes
Sheppard was played by Eric Martin.
