Mexico

Mexico was a area that the European nation of Spain annexed as a colony after the defeat of the native people living there. Spain helped to "civilize" Mexico after colonizing it and helped its people to learn Spanish. Mexico gained Independence from Spain on September 16th 1810 and was recognized by Spain as a nation on September 27th 1810.

During the mid 1800s Mexico went to war with the United States over boarder disputes.The Mexicans lost that war.Mexico and as a result of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848), Mexico lost one third of its surface area to the United States. During the 1900s Mexico was neutral in most of the wars that took place during that time, it is known that Mexico was on the allies side during the Great World War Two, it is not however known if Mexico sent troops to fight the soviets. Nod had a strong presence in Mexico, which was all but eradicated by the GDI.
