AF Gameicon The following is based on the missions of The Aftermath and might contradict canon.

A Soviet force has holed up in a small town, threatening to kill a hostage every 5 minutes until their demands are met. We do not negotiate with terrorists -- explain this to them.
Locate the hostages, free as many of them as you can, and get them safely to a nearby abandoned Church. Once done, return to your drop-off point, signal for reinforcements, and finish off the Soviet forces.
- Mission briefing

Negotiations is the fifth Allied mission in the Aftermath expansion.[1]

Bugs[]

  • At least one hostage has to die, otherwise they will not follow you once you free them[2]. That is, if you manage to reach the hostages in less than 5 minutes, they will stand around and do nothing.
    • You can solve the situation by executing a hostage yourself, though it must be the one that would have died first. After that the others will follow you as normal.
    • It thus means you cannot save all 5 hostages - the most you can save is 4, which gives you 10 minutes to reach the hostages if you want to save the maximum possible.
