Paratrooper

During the second Great World War, Soviets trained special airborne infantry corps for insertion deep behind enemy lines. These men were equivalent to rifle infantry of the time and a squad numbered five soldiers. They could have been deployed anywhere on scouted terrain.

After the war, GDI founded their own paratrooper corps and used them in the war against Nod, usually deployed from C-130 Hercules cargo planes. GDI Airborne continues to be an important part of their arsenal to the present day with the ability to drop snipers as well.
