The Photon Cannon is a heavy anti-tank defence that only is good against vehicles. They rival the Guardian cannons and Laser turrets. Despite their name, they appear to use plasma discs and Tiberium Shards as a main weapon. Mammoth Tanks and infantry such as Zone Troopers can be a danger to it. They cannot target aircraft though and rely on plasma disc batteries to support that. They are often used with Buzzer Hives and Plasma Missile Batteries.
