The Pill Box was a basic defence employed by the Allies during Great World War II. It was a small bunker like structure from which a soldier fired a mounted machine gun. It was used to prevent Soviet infantry advances. It's shell like design gave the operators shelter from fragments thrown by the explosions of Soviet tanks and MiG-29s.
Soviet tanks could easily overwhelm Pill Boxes. Aircraft and long range weapons could destroy it with impunity. However, concerns over how far the operators could see became a concern causing it to be phased out by the Guard tower by GDI before the First Tiberium War.
The pillboxes could also come in a camouflaged variation.
