With the introduction of aggressive mind-control technology by Yuri, the Allies began investigating the use of drone technology to counter it with. After failed attempts to replicate the Soviet Terror Drone's AI, the Allies came to realise that they would have to remotely control their Robot Tanks from a safe distance. The Robot Control Center housed all of the equipment for controlling the tanks and the operators themselves. If the center was destroyed or underpowered, the tanks would stop functioning, making it necessary to defend the center.
