The Mobile Repair Transport is the precursor to the Guardian APC, now used only by the Steel Talons. At it's core, it's a mobile repair pad on a six-wheel armoured chassis, possibly based on Nod's own mobile repair vehicle, though GDI hasn't commented on this issue.
This vehicle was the first field test of the new Guardian armoured personnel carrier chassis, which could carry an entire infantry squad inside, who could fire through special ports, as well as a crane and repair drone docking station, though it was replaced by a twin machinegun emplacement when the vehicle was adopted into the main GDI forces.
Following successful field tests by the Talons, GDI command accepted the new APC design as the new standard.
