Commander *Name Classified* was a relatively new officer to the Soviet Union's Armed Forces but was recognized by the Premier and his officers to be a highly skilled commander despite the Commander's lack of practical field experience. The Commander was given a difficult mission to defend Leningrad despite General Krukov's words that the city was not worth defending. However Cherdenko made it clear that losing Leningrad was not an option as the city was a historical and cultural treasure of the Union, losing the city where the founder of communism was born and where the Union itself was born, to the Imperial invaders would have resulted in a crippling blow to the morale of the Soviet people. Krukov noted that and said that the Commander should then expect to be heavily outnumbered and prepared. It was here that Cherdenko introduced the Commander to his Intelligence and Logistics officer, Dasha Fedorovich. As soon as he arrived to aid in the defense of the Peter and Paul Fortress, he and the Soviet's legendary sniper-commando Natasha quickly eliminated the Imperial forces be-sieging the Fortess, allowing the arrival of the Commander's old friend Oleg and his forces to aid in the defense.
Oleg himself was happy to see the Commander and he vowed that as soon as the Imperials were driven out, they would catch up on old times. The two Commanders were greeted by the leader of the attacking Imperial forces, General Kenji Tenzai, who in his smug and arrogant tone vowed to level the city with his forces. The Commander and Oleg however fought on and managed to defend the Fortress despite the number of Imperial forces attacking. The Commander then left Oleg in charge of the defense in order to save the Hermitage Museum when Dasha informed Commander *Name Classified* of Imperial forces attacking the museum. Natasha and a crack team of Soviet troopers were sent there via Man-Cannon by a Bullfrog and were able to quickly deal with the attackers and were sent back to the Fortess to further reinforce it. After repelling the next wave, a number of Shogun Battleships shelled the area and it seemed that they would destroy the defenders' positions. Natasha however ordered her air-strike teams to take out the Shogun Battleships as well as support from the Magnetic Satellites orbiting the city. The battle was over and the humiliated Kenji told the Commanders that it was not over, as he and the other Shogunate Commanders would be back. Oleg however insulted Kenji, stating that he hoped that the other Imperial Commanders were better opponents than him.
Dasha commended her new commander for defeating the Imperials despite limited men, funds, and facilities, admiring the Commander's resourcefulness in battle. This however annoyed Krukov who replied that the war was far from over, stating that while the Commander had been fighting behind the barricades of Leningrad, the Imperials had been thrusting deeply into Mother Russia's "tender nether regions" as he phrased it, stating fact and insulting the *Name Classified* at the same time. Dasha then informed both Krukov and *Name Classified* that an Imperial force was on their way to Moscow.
[edit] Circus of Treachery
The commander immediately heads out to meet the Imperial threat along with comrade General Nikolai Moskvin who in this mission had Natasha under his command. The small Soviet force armed only with Sickles & Natasha mowed down Japanese infantry and liberated several War Bears & Tesla Troopers. As they proceeded to the launch facility they killed many more Japanese soldiers. When they arrived they called in Satellite Drops which killed many more enemy soldiers, turning the tide of battle. It is revealed Shinzo, an experienced Imperial commander was there the entire time but he was no match for the Soviets resolve combined with repeated satellite drops. Shinzo in a last attempt at victory retreats to the water and unleashes Yuriko along with a mass of infantry but they are easily killed it is unknown if this was the original Yuriko [but it is assumed because only one was present in this battle where as in To Tame A Living God countless Yurikos showed up for all Japanese commanders]. As a Soviet victory was achieved here the two Soviet commanders head out to face the Imperial threats elsewhere.
[edit] Taking Back Ice Harbor
The Commander then set out for Vladivostok to liberate the vital ports there with the support of Soviet Commander Zhana who was leader of the elite airborne forces of the Soviet Union under the directive placed by Krukov who spoke the truth that the Soviet Union might be secure on land but without their navy they would not be able to be defend themselves as well as take the fight to the Imperials. Using Bullfrogs to launch Soviet troops into a foward island, the Commander and Zhana eliminated the Imperial garrision there and securing a location in which to build a foward base. The Japenese sent a counter-attack at the Soviet positions, but well-placed Sentry Guns and Flak Cannons thwarted the attack. Then, the Commander sent out Stingrays to retailiate. The Imperial Navy put up a good fight, but despite the technological prowess of the Empire's navy the number of Stingrays eventually overwhelmed the Japanese Navy and their bases. Also, the Soviets managed to liberate two Dreadnought warships, allowing for long-range bombardment capabilities. Finally, the Japanese fled to Crown Prince Tatsu's palace on a hill overlooking the city. There, the Soviets met the Imperial King Onis for the first time, these were sent in by the Crown Prince to secure the palace he had erected, but even they were no match for the brutal firepower of the Dreadnoughts as well as the overwhelming forces brought in by both Zhana and the Soviet Commander. Finally, the palace was leveled, and the Empire fled Vladivostok, allowing the Soviet forces to have the ports to rebuild, resupply, rearm, and reinforce their navies as well as having staging grounds for a counter attack on the Imperials and eventually the Allies.
[edit] March of the Red Army
Despite the victories of the Soviet forces in pushing the Imperials off their native soil and reclaiming valuable lands, men, materials, supplies, and resources, they were not going to get a decent time to rest as well as celebrate the freedom of their lands from the Empire's forces. The United States of America had not been part of the conflict before, but it was now sending in funds, supplies, weapons, forces, and manpower to aid the Allies in Europe under the orders of it's elected president Howard T. Ackerman. Cherdenko is furious at this and considers the American President Ackerman as an ignorant fanatic who wants to wipe them out and his efforts can tip the scales of the war in the favor of the Allies. He knew there and then that if the Americans were able to amass their assets into Europe, then the hard earned successes of the Soviets would be for nothing. With that in mind, he orders the Commander to take part in the assault on Geneva, Switzerland. However Krukov would be joining the conflict as well, despite the growing tension between the Premiere, the General, and the Commander. This was further shown by Cherdenko as he told the Commander that failure would make Krukov doubt just the Commander's abilities but his own leadership as Premier.
The Soviet Commander was joined by his old friend Oleg who looked forward to showing the Allies the true danger of facing the full might of the Soviet Armored Corps. They were able to start establishing their bases but they were surprised to find that the Allies had a considerable naval force in the lake, including dolphins which confounded the Soviet forces. They were then surprised to see Allied Aircraft Carriers in the area, showing that the Allies had a working Chronosphere in the area. It was then that Allied Commander Lissette Hanely made herself known to the Soviets, daring them to try and take them out. The Soviet Commander was soon able to make her eat her words as he gathered his naval forces to attack and drive out the Allied forces there in the lake. Dasha then informed them to take the banks of Switzerland to divert their funds to the coffers of the Soviet war effort, this was done by both Oleg and the Commander,w hile Oleg spat and said that while the money was helpful, it 'stinks of capitalism.' After defeating the Allied naval forces and destroying the Naval supply depot, the Commander and Oleg focused their full attention on the Allied base in the area to allow General Krukov a site to stat his own offensive. Oleg saw the base and was angered, stating that Switzerland's neutrality was a farce for allowing the the Allies to have a considerable presence there.
After the base was dealt with, the Commander was able to clear the way for Krukov, who quickly began to attack the remaining Allied base and the Commander now had access to the V4 Launchers that he combined with his forces. However, the banks he had under his control were then confiscated by Krukov for his own use and while the Commander was told not to oppose Krukov's actions, it grated on the Commander that Krukov did this after all the hard work the Commader's forces did to get the funds in those banks, added to that was the taunt made by Krukov to get out and fight despite the fact that the Commander's forces were fighting in the front lines already while Krukov's forces merely mopped up. The Allied base soon fell to Oleg, the Commander, and Krukov, Lissette conceeded defeat but vowed to see the Commander again. The victory went to Oleg and the Commander due to their actions and efforts, but Krukov took credit for the success and said that the Commander would learn something from him. This grated on the Soviet Commander even more and there was no doubt that the Commander vowed that there would be a reckoning between himself and Krukov as Swtizerland fell into the control of the Soviet Union.
[edit] The Science of War
Following their victory at Switzerland, Premier Cherdenko congratulated the Commander on a job well done, but Krukov interrupted the Premier saying the battle was won not by because of the Commander's efforts. Krukov even blames the Commander for his timid hesitation to press on with the battle. The Commander and Cherdenko became irritated at Krukov and decided not to pay attention to him. Cherdenko told the Commander that Krukov had the habit to overstep his authority and someday he will go far enough. After this argument, Cherdenko informed the Commander that the Americans are getting close to develop the new superweapon. He then introduced to the Commander the "greatest scientific mind of our time", Dr. Gregor Zelinsky. Dr. Zelinsky explained the scientifc discovery that "no man had ever discovered before", but Cherdenko decided not to pay attention to Zelinsky and cut off his transmission. Cherdenko told the Commander that that technology must be taken away from the Allies before they uses it against them. However, while briefing the Commander on this, the military choppers mysteriously went behind Cherdenko's office window and open fired at it. The Premier's whereabouts were unknown.
Dasha was informed about this assasination attempt and she told the Commander that they must press on with the battle without the Premier. The Commander landed on the island of Mykonos, Greece, where the Allied laboratory is situated. He was accompanied again by Commander Zhana. Unfortunately, the Allies built the Tech Inhibitor in one of the three small islands, which impedes the Soviets from acquiring further military technology. The Commander was authorized to build Twinblade choppers to destroy the Allied base. The Commander was interrupted by the Allied Commander named Warren Fuller, who vowed to give the Commander the "taste of American firepower". The Commander sent Twinblades to destroy the Tech inhibitor. With the Tech Inhibitor destroyed, the Soviets finally acquired access to the additional military technology. Zhana focused her assault on one of the small islands. She ordered the Commander to destroy the Spectrum Towers with Twinblades, since it will be difficult for them to establish their bases there with Sputniks. The Commander destroyed the remaining Allied expansion bases on the small islands, and the Spectrum Towers along with them. With the Allied expansion bases leveled, both the Commander and Zhana sent Sputniks to establish the expansion bases there to acquire additional resources.
Then, they focused their assault on the main base. Both the Commander and Zhana used Akula Subs to destroy the Naval Shipyards and Dreadnaughts to level the Allied defenses and the Construction Yard. The Commander used the Magnetic satellite to suck the Allied Naval reinforcements into space, including Hydrofoils, Riptides and Assault Destroyers. He, then, used the Orbital Dump, as well as Twinblades to destroy the remaining enemy base structures there. With the main base leveled, Warren conceded defeat, but before he packs up, he promised both the Commander and Zhana that "freedom will always prevail at the end."
Focusing on the laboratory the Commander's Dreadnaughts destroyed the defenses and the power plants powering them. Then he ordered Zhana to capture the laboratory with the engineer. However, additional Allied forces establish a base northeast of the laboratory. This time, it was led by Commander Giles Price. The Allies wanted to capture to destroy or capture the laboratory. The Commander and Zhana were authorized to build MiG fighters to help them defend the lab until the engineers transfer the data into the Soviet database. While the engineers extract the data from the laboratory, the Allies sent Vindicators to bomb the land forces defending the laboratory. They also sent squads of Riptides and Multigunner IFVs, as well as the infantry and engineers. Fortunately, the MiG Fighters and Zhana's Bullfrogs shot down those Vindicators. The Twinblades and Zhana's Stingrays wiped out the enemy land forces. After minutes of defending the laboratory, the engineers have finally transferred the data into the Soviet database. With the Commander's efforts, the superweapon technology is now in the secure hands of the Soviets, and they now have the tighter grip on European territory. Giles conceded defeat, but before retreating, he told them that they will never know what to do with that technology.
[edit] No Traitors Tomorrow
It was revealed later that Premier Cherdenko managed to survive the assassination attempt, albeit with minor injuries.Cherdenko told the Commander that he is part-Cossack through his grandfather and as a Cossack, he cannot be killed very easily. Dasha greeted the Premier on his survival and he thanked her for that. Cherdenko was grateful that the Allies' superweapon technology is not in the hands of the Soviets. Dasha later informed him that the remaining Allies in Europe are in Iceland.Premier Cherdenko ordered the Commander to destroy the last Allied stronghold in Iceland while he is busy "rooting out" who is responsible for the assassination attempt. He also sent General Krukov to supervise the battle personally.
The Soviets established the base near Von Esling Air Base in Iceland, the last Allied stronghold in Europe. Dasha gave the Commander a large sum of credits to build up the forces. This military operation is supported by his longtime friend, Oleg. Both commanders built up defenses and structures when Giles showed up with airpower. General Krukov arrived in the battlefield and requisitioned the resources allocated for the Commander, much to the Commander's annoyance. Nevertheless, the Commander pressed on with the battle by building sizable force. The Commander focused its assault on the eastern part of the airbase while Oleg took care of the western part. Krukov gave minimal help in destroying the enemy bases on both sides. They used Dreadnoughts and Twinblades to destroy the enemy structures. They also used Bullfrogs and MiG fighters to eliminate aerial threats. The destruction of the base was nearly successful when the Commander receives a disturbing transmission from the Premier.
Premier Cherdenko had discovered the person responsible for the treacherous assassination attempt and that person is no other than General Krukov. Premier Cherdenko ordered the Commander to destroy the traitorous general before he destroys everyone in the USSR. He, then authorized the Commander to make Kirov airships to aid this assault. The Commander became even more enraged at this treachery, given Krukov's early distrust and hostility towards him and the Premier. He told Oleg about this treachery and was shocked at this. He commanded the Commander to lead the charge against the traitor.
The Commander sent his forces to Krukov's base started to destroy some of his aerial units. Krukov was shocked at the Commander attacking his forces; he finally gave in to killing the Commander. The Commander focused the assaults on Krukov's command bunker while Oleg assaulted the construction yard. Krukov cursed the Commander for his 'treachery' as the command bunker crumbled over him. With Krukov dead, his forces immediately swore allegiance to the Commander. After this battle, Giles got a good laugh at this treachery and mocked the Commander for not knowing who is on their side. At this time, Von Esling airbase was alerted to the Commander's presence and constructed a superweapon called a Proton Collider in an effort to eliminate the Soviet presence there.
Both the Commander and Oleg sent their forces to destroy the Proton Collider before it could fire. Then both of the commanders assaulted the remaining base structures. As the base collapses, some surviving Allies, including Giles, forced to evacuate to New York City, the last bastion of capitalism. The Soviets had finally freed Europe of Allied domination, and Premier Cherdenko`s grip on his power is secured. Premier Cherdenko is finally relieved that the traitorous general Krukov is eliminated and he could rely on the Commander in the future. Likewise, Oleg is finally happy that the Allies are vanquished and the traitor is killed at the same time. He hoped that he could be working together one day.
[edit] To Tame a Living God
The Commander returned to Moscow to find out that the Premier has promoted him to a General. Dasha informs the Premier that there are still few Imperial forces occupying Soviet territories. The Premier told her to leave them since they will be nothing without their beloved leader, their Emperor. Premier Cherdenko ordered the Commander to attack the Emperor's palace at Mount Fuji and show the people of Japan that the Emperor is not a god, but a mere human being. After this briefing, Dr. Gregor Zelinsky contacted the Commander and told him that he created the time machine. He also told him about the violation of the spacetime continuum, and the reprecussions of this act. He said that the Empire of the Rising Sun never would have existed and there is one thing that strikes the Commander: Cherdenko cannot be trusted because he should have been the Premier. But while disscussing these the transmission was cut off. The Commander had no idea if what he heard was true and suspected that either Gregor Zelinsky had lost his mind due to work, or there was more to what was going on than what he knew.
The Commander was accompanied by Moskvin for this battle, Moskvin looked forward to the fight before them and so did the Commander, as he had a vested interest in teaching the Empire the folly of attacking Mother Russia as well as worshipping a mere human being. Upon their arrival in Mount Fuji, however, their forces were decimated by anti-air defenses. The Commander's conscript and Moskvin's war bear survived. The conscript and the bear passed through the palace premises without detection due to the amazingly lax security around the palace. The conscript decided to make a distraction by firing at a barrel of explosives. In doing so, the Imperial forces went to the stie of explosion and went inside the Imperial palace, where the Emperor is taking a breather. Both attacked the Emperor, but the "Emperor" turned out to be an android. The Imperial guards immediately captured both the conscript and the war bear.
Despite the capture of the initial forces, their reinforcements arrived at the base of Mount Fuji and established their bases there. They are even to authorized to construct Apocalypse tanks to exact revenge on the palace. The Apocalypse tanks that first arrived pounded the Mecha Tengus to dust. As both the Commander and Moskvin build bases, Shinzo sent his forces to decimate the Commander's base. These forces, however, were repelled by the defenses built by the Commander. As the Commander continue building his forces, Commander Naomi Shirada establish her base near the sea. Minutes later, Kenji established his base and sent his forces downward.
The Commander built sizable force and decimate Shinzo's base and his command bunker as well as the defenses protecting them, ending the life of the Shogunate leader. He, then proceeded to destroy Naomi's base and decimate the fleet as well as the forces that she commanded, breaking the back and spirit of the Imperial Navy, not only had he and Moskvin crushed the Imperial Navy to the ground but also killed the woman who was still in shock as her command bunker was reduced to rubble. The normally arrogant Kenji fought on despite the loss of his fellow Shogun, but he too fell as even his command of his forces as well as the remains of Shinzo and Naomi's forces.
With the three top Shogun Leaders dead, the Commander and Moskvin deployed their full might of armor to smash the palace to the ground despite the still lingering defenses in the area, it was a hard battle but the overwhelming Soviet forces, funded by the ore taken from the ruined sights of the three Imperial Commanders' bases as well as the ore coming from Moskvin as well as the Commander's own supplies pushed on the war machine as the Empire's most beautiful city continued to burn, its people filled with fear and terror, even the usually heavily inspired and disciplined Imperial army felt terror as the Soviets tore through the heart of their Empire, but as the palace fell, Moskvin and the Soviet Commander faced a much larger King Oni from the ruins.
The Emperor was the pilot of this King Oni and proved to be no mere old man as he showed exceptional skill in using his personal mecha in combat, apparently this King Oni was specially built only to be used by the Emperor, but this was not enough at all as the Commander and Moskvin attacked en masse and soon, the Emperor's King Oni was utterly destroyed. As its burning, ruined body fell in a heap to mix with the rubble of Fuji, they rescued the conscript and his companion the war bear with the conscript vowing never to try eating raw fish again.
Tatsu came and was horrifed by the death of his father and called the Soviets barbarians without honor. The Commander snorted at that as well as Moskvin. In the Commander's mind, the Empire's forces were the true barbarians for what they had done since entering the war. Now with their Emperor dead, he wanted to see if the Empire still had in itself the fighting spirit that he both respected and hated.
[edit] The Stone Faced Witnesses
After the victory at Mount Fuji, Premier Cherdenko congratulated the Commander on bringing the Empire of the Rising Sun to the family of the Soviet socialist republics. He even admitted that the Japanese are technologically advanced although they are culturally backward and superstitious. He told the Commander that Dr. Zelinsky has another discovery that he will like to share. Cherdenko tried to contact Zelinsky but he is nowhere to be found. He did not care about this so he proceeded to brief the Commander on a new mission. This mission involves taking the Allies by surprise. The Soviets will make peace with the Allies by proposing a "peace treaty" that will end to a long hostility toward each other and when this treaty is signed, the Soviets will ambush the Allies. The premier told the Commander that he is the bait. The Commander had a bad feeling about this idea.
Nevertheless, he went to Easter Island and established the base there. His co-commander Zhana came with him to support him on this mission. There was a Soviet ambassador inside the dreadnaught waiting to give a signal to attack the Allied emissary, and this ship was sitting between both bases. Both the Commander and Zhana built sizeable force. Both of them watched the Allied reinforcements closely while waiting for the emissary to arrive. Zhana admitted that she love these kinds of missions and wondered if they are to the trap or the bait. The Allied emmisary arrived at the base and met with the Soviet ambassador. The Soviet ambassador gave the signal to attack the emmisary. The Allied were shocked that they were doubled crossed and the Soviets do not have plans to make peace with them. The Commander as well as Zhana pulverized the emissary and the rest of the reinforcements.
Unfortunately, the Allied forces, led by Field Marshall Robert Bingham, established the base on a small island. Bingham told the Commander that they came to the summit with their weapons loaded. The Commander sent his forces to the Allied base and with Zhana`s help, the Allied base were reduced to rubble. Bingham was killed as the base construction yard crumbles over him and the surviving Allies retreated. The Commander finally put the Allied forces to disarray and Zhana was relieved the enemy did not stand a chance.
Cherdenko thanked the Commander for brutally dealing with the enemies. He revealed the second phase of the mission: he branded the Commander to be a traitor and a threat to him and the entire Soviet republic. Dasha was totally shocked at Cherdenko's madness that she decided to swear her allegiance to the Commander and tell him to eliminate the premier. Zhana followed suit and lend him any assistance he will need. The Premier decided to eliminate The Commander, Dasha, and Zhana. He hid in a secret volcano fortress made up of three port structures built in the crater of the volcano itself. He even had his infantry escape from the man cannons built into the statues. He also built a Vacuum Imploder in hopes of obliterating the Commander and his co-commander. The Commander sent his forces to destroy Cherdenko's naval fleet. Cherdenko introduced the Commander to his Tesla tanks, the experimental forces that appear to have few weaknesses. He sent these Tesla tanks to the commander's base, but they were easily destroyed by the base defenses. He also used MiG fighters and anti-air reinforcements to eliminate Kirov airships that would have wiped out the Commander's base structures. Zhana destroyed the airfields to prevent Cherdenko from sending aerial reinforcements. Cherdenko's shipyard and the Vacuum Imploder were destroyed by the Commander, which made Cherdenko angrier than ever. The Commander focused the assault on Cherdenko's secret island fortress. Zhana cannot believed that the brother is fighting against his own brother and hoped that the madness ends quickly. The Commander sends Kirovs to decimate the port structures inside the volcano, making sure Cherdenko will not attempt to betray him again. Cherdenko became enraged at his defeat, telling the Commander that "this is his timeline". As the port structures crumbled to pieces, Cherdenko was presumably killed along with it. The Commander, Dasha, and Zhana gave themselves the sigh of relief that they survived this act of betrayal. Zhana parted ways with the Commander to return to Moscow but before she leaves, she told the Commander to push on and make the country proud of him.
[edit] Blight on the Big Apple
After Cherdenko's death at Easter Island, the Commander returned to Moscow and find the Premier's office empty and quiet. Dasha cannot believe that Cherdenko will betray the Commander after he won the battles and face the dangers for him. She told him that Cherdenko is responsible for the disappearance of Dr. Zelinsky and fabricated the assassination attempt just he could frame General Krukov. Dasha decided that destiny of the Soviets will lie on the hands of the Commander as he assumes control of the Soviets and immediately starts his attack on the Allies' most important command center: the United States of America. With most of the Allies decimated, President Ackerman is left to defend New York against the Soviets. This war was accompanied by Moskvin, who helped him secure the port in Vladivostok and exact reveng on the Empire of the Rising Sun. In the first phase of the battle, the Commander destroys Fort Bradley, a key location to the defense of New York. With Fort Bradley gone, the Commander proceeds to achieve his original objective, which is to destroy the Statue of Liberty. Assisted by the powerful Tesla Tanks, the Commander manages to capture the New York Stock Exchange and kill Agent Tanya before destroying the Statue itself. This marked the end of the Allies in WWIII. All the surviving Allies, including the commanders who fought with him, surrendered to the mighty Soviet victors.
[edit] After Real WWIII
| “ | To you comrade! The People wanted to meet their new premier! The future is yours! The Future is yours! - Dasha | ” |
The Soviet Commander managed to crush all his enemies, including the Empire of the Rising Sun, the Allied forces, General Krukov and even his own premier, Cherdenko. Having already achieved heroic status in his homeland, as well as commanding absolute loyalty of the entire Soviet army, the commander was made premier of the new Global USSR soon after his victory in New York, now renamed Commandergrad in his honor. A gigantic statue of Lenin is also erected to replace the Statue of Liberty. The Commander returns to Moscow to celebrate his victory over his enemies, and became the new premier of the goverment.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Like the first commander this one became Premier of the Soviet Union, which encompassed all of Earth by then, by killing the Premier and succeeding him.
