Sun Meiying was a television news reporter with BCTV, the Chinese state television. A patriot and a star reporter on Beijing World News, she is often posted overseas to embed with Chinese troops and cover the news from the frontline. She was the reporter who announced the plans of the government of China to send troops to Europe to eradicate the GLA presence entrenched there.
