Talk:Firestorm Crisis

Should this really be called "Firestorm Crisis"? Isn't that a reference to the game title. If you think about it, the Firestorm episode is part of the Second Tiberium War. If it is a seperate article, then perhaps it should be called the "CABAL crisis" or something similar, instead.

[edit] Response

I called it the "Firestorm Crisis" for two reasons:

1. That's what it's being called at other fan sites

2. It might also be recognizing the "Firestorm Taskforce" that was extremely influential in this battle.

If you want, I could combine articles, but that would make a very long article.

Hmmm, but the "Firestorm" name being applied to this episode is not would not really be specific to it if you were say, McNeil, writing a history book on it. With your agreement (of course), I would like to rename (move) it to "CABAL crisis" or something similar. Snow93 10:39, 12 May 2006 (UTC) (by the way please sign your name with four or five wiggly tildes "Snow93 10:39, 12 May 2006 (UTC)" so I know who you are and I don't have to bother looking in the history section to see whether you're DThaiger or Agaiz :-).

Second thoughts- I see, the taskforce was called the Firestorm Taskforce. What evidence is there for this by the way? Have I just overlooked a cutscene? Would they actually name the crisis after the taskforce though? Snow93 10:56, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Cutscene: Mission 1: GDI: Firestorm,

(paraphrased).

Cortez: Commander, you've been pulled off operation Lazerus to head up the Firestorm Taskforce [...] --Dthaiger 19:34, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

I suppose it might also refer to the firestorm walls that played so umportant a role in the last battle (and the fact that Cabal had somehow found a way to shoot through firestorm walls. Besides, if I'm a historian, and that's what people have been using...) Like the battle of Bunker hill, which really took place on Breed's hill--Dthaiger 04:14, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Ok. Also, I think all "energy" weapons can shoot through Firestorm Walls, albeit with reduced damge (I think). Snow93 08:53, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

All energy weapons? From where do you get that impression? --Dthaiger 19:29, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Disruptors and lasers (and devil's tongues I think) can shoot through them. --Snow93 19:21, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to remove the picture (as nice as it is), because GDI definitely did not fight Reapers at that early time, and didn't even know about Cabal's betrayal yet. Sorry.

Sure, no problem. We can add a screenshot from the actual mission later --Agaiz 21:30, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Please add more pictures to this page! --Dthaiger 04:03, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Firestorm crisis is correct it envoles multiple problem such as the riots the cabal up rising and the destruction of the kodiak.
