The tank-hunting dog is an infantry unit cut from Red Alert 2.

BackgroundEdit

These large dogs have been trained to carry 25 pounds of explosives on their backs and dive under enemy tanks. The large detonator on their backs is then triggered and the tank, along with the dog, explode.

TriviaEdit

The tank-hunting dog is most likely based on the anti-tank dogs the Soviets trained in WWII to combat German Panzers. They were starved and taught to seek food under tanks, where their bomb vests would be remotely detonated. As the Soviets used their own tanks, rather than Nazi tanks, to train the dogs, the project was an abysmal failure.
