Chinese Nuclear General |
| “ | Melt! Everything must melt! - Tao | ” |
General Tsing Shi Tao was a Chinese Class AAA general serving in the People's Liberation Army during the G.L.A. conflict. General Tsing's focus on nuclear energy earned him the moniker of the 'Nuclear General'. Although his reliance on often untested and unstable nuclear technology has led to a number of costly accidents - including the Mudanjiang Disaster of 2014 - Shi Tao's natural talents as a tactician and his knowledge on Nuclear Weapons have more than made up for this. More recently, Tsing's convictions have paid off, and he has fielded a number of buildings and units improved by more affordable and more advanced nuclear power generators.
General Tsing was stationed at Base Ox, Chengdu, and his Combat Number was 0000-000000-1.

Edit
Although China's Nuclear Reactors were already the most effective on the battlefield, General Tsing sought to improve them further. His Advanced Nuclear Reactors generated much more power, saving time and money. All of Tsing's Main Battle Tanks are Nuclear-powered to improve their speed and came with Uranium Shells as standard, unlike those of most Chinese generals, again saving money. The shells loaded in Tsing's tanks spread Radiation upon impact, which although making the battlefield messy, helped in dealing with enemy infantry. The Isotope Stability upgrade could be purchased by General Tsing to prevent his tanks damaging each other when hit. In the air, General Tsing's Carpet Bomber dropped Tactical Nuclear Bombs, his MiGs could be upgraded to fire tactical nukes, and his Helix helicopters could also be upgraded to drop small nuclear bombs. Finally, General Tsing did not have to spend his promotional points on the Nuke Cannon: it is available to him as standard. General Tsing is also able to build his Nuclear Silo much cheaper than most other Chinese Generals, at 4,500 supplies instead of the standard 5,000. Both the Battlemaster and Overlord tank start out with the Nuclear Tank upgrade installed, allowing for possible early and end game rushes.
In many ways, General Tsing is the Chinese equivalent of Dr. Thrax. Both already have their signature modifications to their units (Anthrax and Nuclear Weaponry to Thrax and Tao, respectively) to increase their combat-effectiveness, all while spreading residual anti-personnel material on the ground.
Flaws and Personality

His knowledge of nuclear weapons makes him a dangerous enemy, as all of his main battle tanks are much faster and are equipped with nuclear shells. He is capable of annihilating groups of enemies while usually launching nuke after nuke at them, not giving them any time to react. He would usually welcome his opponent with a display of his nuclear arsenal, using Nuke Cannons to obliterate the recon force sent ahead and launching a nuclear missile to remove any survivors before a forward base could be built.
The village in front of his main fortress is mostly unsafe for ground roaming, forcing commanders to deploy air cavalry to safely mobilized across the tainted area. However, he displayed a callous disregard for the well-being of his own infantry, sometimes marching them directly through radioactive slag in his haste to thow them at the enemy. His Mig, although nuclear powered, can be nullified by superior enemy aircraft equipped with countermeasures. Although USA have access to the Ambulance and the Chemical Suit upgrade, they are not recommended as both are ground related. GLA, having no ability to deploy air potency, can always turn to stealth tactics. GLA defence is somewhat more vunerable as most of their defence structure features exposed infantry, a network of demo charges is a suitable solution. Fellow Chinese generals may use units capable of being upgraded with Speaker Towers.
Regardless, unlike the other 2 Chinese generals, all Chinese units were available to him.
Trivia
Edit
Despite already having access to much nuclear technology and weaponry, Tao was meant to have access to even more nuclear-based arsenal. Nuclear Hackers (capable of setting up nuclear suitcase bombs), a Tactical Nuclear Strike (airdropped nuclear bomb) General's Power and further upgrades for Uranium Shells and Nuclear Tanks.
