Tunisia, officially the Republic of Tunisia, is a country in North Africa. It is a Maghreb country bordered by Algeria to the west, Libya to the southeast and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east. This is where Nod first invaded the country after conquering Algeria and Libya from GDI's A-10 ground support planes and Nikoomba in his country at the beginning of a First Tiberium War. After the retreat in Warthog Hunt, GDI forces well rested were ready in Gunboats, Hovercrafts and Aircraft Carriers landed in this country to rid of Nod presence and push on through North Africa, but was halted and got pushed back to sea by the Brotherhood in retaliation.
First Tiberium War
The Brotherhood of Nod first invaded the country in the early days of a First Tiberium War. After Warthog Hunt was completed, GDI forces retreated by vessels back to Western Europe and hoping to show Nod the way of how a historic beach landing on Tunisia would have done, but how to do it. The creator of this plan during the Battle for Zaire was the French President, Honore Prichard.
At the same time as the Battle for Zaire, European troops at their staging sites in Malta and Italy took off and headed for the beaches of Tunisia. Once there, the GDI forces landed on the beach using Hovercrafts as warplanes from their Aircraft Carriers destroyed multiple Nod positions such as SAM sites, Obelisks of Light and Turrets overlooking the beach-head. The vehicles and soldiers crossed the hills and destroyed the positions that their Aircraft tried to do. The President of Germany, Helmut Bierman said that the invasion was a huge success with a lot of casualities from both sides of the armed forces.
GDI Offensive Halted
Since the Nod base at the coast of Tunisia was destroyed, the Brotherhood of Nod knew about the landings and used all of their forces from Libya and Algeria such as the Minigunners, Recon Bikes and F-22 Raptors swooped down on the GDI forces that landed on Tunisian soil. All of the infantry, tanks and aircraft were decimated by the gallantry of Nod opposition forces coming from the two countries. They destroyed the invasion force and pushed them back to sea which also had the naval forces retreating back to the staging sites of Italy and Malta. The Prime Minister of England, Francis Weatherell said that the landing was successful but not with the offensive inland where two Nod bases were joined together on the Tunisian-Algerian border and the Tunisian-Libyan border. Kane had won over the European leaders and also, the invasion of Africa.
