Background

A worldwide news company, WWN broadcasts everywhere and is one of the biggest news outlets in the world, regularly sharing their news with both Nod and GDI.[1][2] An important element of their broadcasts were statements from important figures, such as Kane[3], Dr Charles Olivetti[4] or General Adam Locke[5]. It broadcasted in three languages: English, French and German. [6]
Its star reporter was Greg Burdette, a GDI sceptic, specialized in reporting on military affairs, most often those of GDI.
Storyline developmentEdit
During the course of the campaign WWN broadcasts Greg Burdette's report from Białystok, Poland, on the alleged slaughter of Polish civilians by GDI forces. This leads to an UN investigation and suspension of GDI funding, which gives Nod an opening to attack. Later, it turns out that the entire event was a deliberate fabrication by none other than Kane, in order to discredit GDI publicly.
WWN's ultimate fate is unknown, but seeing how W3N becomes the dominant news network in the following years, it's likely that WWN either shut down or was bought out by its rival agencies.
