Overview
Edit
The Wave-Force Tower is an advanced form of base defense from the Empire of the Rising Sun. Its powerful cannon can melt any armor and burn infantry. But, some targets require less power from the capacitors; its charge time is slow, and a fast, but light vehicle can run away before being shot. So, its engineers designed it to have the option to fire prematurely before it can fully charge, firing only the amount equal to what it charged. Just like any other base defense, it can deploy on water to provide cover to water-based fortifications. Because of its complexity, a Nanotech Mainframe must be nearby to provide its Nanocores the necessary firmware to build it.
Tactics
Edit
Since its cannon can fire prematurely, it can kill infantry as well as light vehicles. But, by prematurely firing, it will not have its full power and it requires an authorization from a commander to fire prematurely. With the cannon fully charged, it can deal severe damage to any heavy armor. To further increase its lethality over heavy armor, Defender VXs can be built nearby to provide Anti-Infantry and Anti-Air support. Because of it being deployed from Nanocores, it can be deployed anywhere.
Weaknesses
Edit
It can only track surface targets, not aircraft, making it vulnerable to enemy aircraft without the proper Anti-air units and structures. Also, with its slow charge time, it can be overrun by enemy tanks en masse without the proper support from nearby units and base defenses.
Trivia
Edit
- The Wave Force Tower has, somewhat, the ability to immediatly fire its beam upon sighting an enemy unit, even if there is no charge indicators lit, at maximum strength. It is unknown that this might be due to a glitch or that the engineers may have designed it to keep the energy at full strength during long periods of time until finally opening fire at an enemy.
