Anti-Surface Base Defense
The Wave-Force Tower are an advanced form of base defense from the Empire of the Rising Sun.
Wave Force Towers are fearsome Artillery emplacements, sporting a single wave force cannon, capable of smiting armor and infantry alike. They can also be deployed off shore, to protect sea-borne facilities from naval assault.
These towers have more range, than its Defender-VX counterparts but take time to charge up to their potential, although they tend to fire the intial shot at full charge. When combined with other base defenses, a Shogun will expect no-one to trespass Imperial territory, unless it is a dedicated siege by the enemy.
Much like any other imperial structure, Tower Nanocores must be protected as they are directed to the desired build location otherwise it is a costly replacement.
|Premature Discharge||The Wave Force tower can prematurely release it's particle charge, causing instant damage, even though it will not cause as much damage as it would if it had charged up to 100%.|
Towers are strong, long ranged towers, suited for sniper work against advancing tank columns or naval brigades. They will always fire the intial shot, at full charge, before having to build-up subsequent attacks. Take that in mind to utilise closer ranged weapons as the tower does so.
The tower's dedication to smiting ground forces puts it at a serious disadvantage against aircraft so they should be protected by those who can defend against them, mainly the Striker-VXs in their walker form.
Dedicated artillery platforms however, such as the Dreadnought can also far exceed its own. When they are sighted by allied units, they can surely start bombarding the towers from a safe distance.
- The tower has the ability to intially fire a shot at full-power. This may have been overlooked in design or for balancing purposes against early assaults.
- The Wave Force Tower's projectile attack looks similar to the Sonic Emitter from the Tiberium series.
