The Third World War (WWIII) refers to the major, intercontinental war following the Second World War. Confusingly, there are no less than three such wars (four if you count the Tiberium Universe*). This is the result of time travel: after each war interference from time travel altered the timeline causing each version of WWIII to be replaced by another version.
- Third World War (Red Alert 2), the struggle following the Second World War.
- Third World War (Yuri's Revenge), the repeat of the war caused by time-travelling Allies attempting to stop Yuri's Psychic Dominators from taking over the world.
- Third World War (Red Alert 3), the repeat of the war caused by time-travelling Soviets attempting to avert defeat after the events of Red Alert iPhone.

* Red Alert 1 is considered the prequel to the Tiberium Universe which diverged and branched off into a separate universe after the RA1. Therefore, the First Tiberium War (or whatever preceded it, if there was a major conflict in between) can be considered as a "Third World War."
