President of Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe, officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a country in southern Africa and was the second country to be invaded by a GDI offensive to starve off Nod before the security codes for the Ion Cannon had been stolen and causing Nod to take the country with destroying GDI forces with the now-hijacked superweapon. It is bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the southwest, Zambia to the northwest and Mozambique to the east.
Zimbabwe achieved de jure sovereignty from the United Kingdom in April 1980, following 14 years as an unrecognised state under the conservative white minority government of Rhodesia, which unilaterally declared independence in 1965.
First Tiberium War
In the late middle of the First Tiberium War, Zambia was outnumbered by a GDI offensive keeping Nod out of the country. The GDI Commander in Botswana, now ordered by Francis Weatherell of England used a second GDI offensive to get into Zimbabwe, leaving the Advanced Communications Center exposed and should that Ion Cannon be captured as it could turn against the scientists who created it and destroy a major site to shatter GDI's public image. After the capture of those security codes by the Brotherhood, they destroyed the GDI offensive in Zimbabwe and used their President to be affiliated with the Brotherhood of Nod. The Nod offensive came from Zambia, Namibia and Mozambique.
